Tiramisu


Ingredients:
4 - Eggs
¾ cup - Caster sugar
250 gm - Philadelphia cream cheese block
100 ml - Thicken cream
1 cup - Coffee (without milk)
1 large packet - Sponge fingers( savioirdi or unibic)
Cocoa powder for dusting
Grated chocolate for garnishing (optional)

Method:

1. Separate the egg whites & yolks & put them in 2 different bowls.
2. Beat egg yolks & sugar in a large bowl with electric beaters until they are pale & thick.
3. Add the cream cheese into the mixture & continue beating until it is mixed well & there are no lumps in the mixture.
4. Add thicken cream into the above mixture & mix gently until it is combined well & set aside…
5. Prepare coffee & let it cool.
6. Beat egg whites in a separate medium bowl with electric beater until soft peaks are formed.
7. Using a large metal spoon gently fold in the egg whites in to the cheese mixture.
8. Dip enough biscuits in to the coffee to cover the base of a 19cm square dish, dust the biscuits lightly with cocoa powder (optional)
9. Cover the biscuits with 1/3 of the cheese mixture, repeat the layers ending with the cheese mixture.
10. Cover with cling wrap ( plastic wrap) & put it in the freezer for at least 1-2 hours or chill it in the fridge for 5-6 hours until the flavors are well set.
 11. Dust generously with cocoa powder & grated chocolate & serve..
 
Tips: Tiramisu is best when made a day earlier.
